Harry Hummerston is a senior Western Australian artist and educator, who has made a significant contribution to arts practice internationally and across Australia. His career in art education spans 30 years and his experience ranges from primary school teaching in the mid 70’s to Head of the Department of Art at Curtin University, Western Australia, 2003-5.

He is represented in a large number of public and private collections, including the Art Gallery of Western Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, National Gallery of Thailand, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Australian War memorial ACT, Kerry Stokes Collection and the Janet Holmes a Court Collection.
